Optum (ProHealth) Day Op Ambulatory Surgery Center – Woodbury, NY

About The Project

CMRichey completed this 12,900-square-foot ambulatory surgery center in Woodbury for Optum (formerly ProHealth). The scope included distribution systems, lighting and lighting controls, general power, mechanical power, and the furnish and installation of a 300kW natural gas generator.

To ensure patient safety, the generator provides emergency power to all critical systems required for surgical operations. These installations are governed by the National Electrical Code and New York State’s Article 28 standards, which mandate that all emergency systems be independently installed and physically separated from standard power. Drawing on extensive experience with this type of highly technical work, CMRichey successfully delivered a code-compliant and reliable electrical solution for this specialized healthcare environment.
