At Viacom’s mission-critical Network Operations Center in Hauppauge, NY, CMRichey completed a two-story expansion to the existing facility—executed with the precision required for continuous critical system operations. The scope included a new PSEG 480V electrical service and the connection of two 1MW emergency backup generators via synchronization switchgear with Kirk key interlocking. Complex tie-ins to existing infrastructure demanded specialized procedures and close coordination to maintain uninterrupted service.
The upper level houses office space, a cafeteria, and conference rooms, while the lower level includes a motor control center and chilled water equipment supporting core data systems. Site work included a wastewater treatment tank, parking lot with site lighting, and a guard booth—delivered to meet the operational demands of a 24/7 facility.
