This 39,000-square-foot medical oncology and infusion center in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn is a joint comprehensive cancer care facility developed by New York Cancer & Blood Specialists and Memorial Sloan Kettering. CMRichey’s scope included a new 4,000 Amp Con Edison electrical service, switchgear, lighting fixtures, general power, and a full design-build fire alarm system.
To support the aggressive schedule, CMRichey provided critical pre-purchase services for service and distribution equipment—securing long-lead items ahead of final construction documents and ensuring timely delivery. CMRichey’s in-house Fire Alarm Division furnished and installed a design-build Mircom-manufactured system, including FDNY submission and approval.
The facility also includes specialized modality rooms for MRI, CT, PET CT, and a Halcyon TrueBeam Linear Accelerator. These areas required technically demanding electrical installations, emphasizing precision and experience. The project was completed on a condensed timeline, further complicated by challenging site conditions within the existing building.
