Every team member is expected to take ownership of safety and to perform their work with a shared commitment to incident-free execution.

Safety Oversight

CMRichey’s safety program is managed by a full-time Safety Director who is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting adherence to our safety policies. The Safety Director conducts routine jobsite audits, reviews safety performance, and ensures that field operations are aligned with current safety regulations and industry best practices.

Training & Certifications

CMRichey maintains a fully trained workforce with certifications that include:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • 8-Hour Fall Protection
  • 2-Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness
  • Aerial Lift Training
  • NFPA 70E
  • NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Training (SST) Cards

 
All employees, regardless of project location, are required to obtain NYC SST cards and complete the associated training.

  • STEP Program: CMRichey participates in the ABC Empire Chapter STEP Safety Management System, a comprehensive benchmarking tool for safety performance and culture. We have achieved Platinum Rating, representing a safety program over 655% better than the industry average.

Training

At CMRichey, we are deeply committed to training and workforce development. As an electrical contractor operating in a highly technical field, we understand that the quality of our work begins with the skill, knowledge, and professionalism of our people.

We employ Apprentices, Mechanics, and Journeymen/Foremen, and support their advancement through a combination of structured training programs and on-the-job experience. Our approach is designed to foster long-term growth, promote safety, and build a workforce capable of delivering complex projects with precision and consistency.

New York State–Approved Apprentice Program

A formal, state-certified program combining classroom instruction with field training under the guidance of experienced supervisors.

Safety Training Classes

Regular safety instruction ensures all team members are current with regulatory standards and jobsite protocols.

Elective Training

Opportunities for employees to expand their skill sets in specialized areas such as fire alarm systems, prefabrication methods, and electrical systems layout.

Electrical Code Training

We stay current with the latest changes to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code requirements. Regular updates and focused training sessions ensure our electricians apply the most up-to-date standards in the field.

Bi-Annual Employee Reviews
