C.M. Richey was established in 1993 as a merit based electrical contractor able to provide safe, professional, and reliable service in the private commercial construction market, throughout the greater New York Metropolitan area.

Mission – To build an exceptional and enduring company known as an industry leader and the premier electrical contractor in all the markets we serve.

Chris Richey, Jr
President

As President, Chris Richey, Jr. oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, setting strategic goals and driving new business development. He is responsible for maintaining key client and professional relationships while managing the corporate functions of the business, including banking, insurance, accounting, human resources, and marketing. In this role, Chris carries forward the mission and values established by the company’s founder, ensuring they remain central to its continued growth.

Chris holds a degree in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College. After beginning his career with a large general contractor, he joined the family firm in 2010, applying his experience in estimating, project management, and business operations.

He resides in Setauket, NY with his wife and their three children. Outside of work, Chris enjoys golf, reading, and time with his family.

Adam Maurino
Executive Vice President

Adam Maurino leads the company’s interiors market projects, including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, restaurants, retail stores, and corporate, medical, and institutional fit-outs. He also oversees all project managers, executives, and coordinators, ensuring projects are delivered consistently, safely, and as promised. Adam is especially focused on understanding client needs and driving solutions-oriented sales, building long-term partnerships through responsiveness and reliability.

A Master Electrician with more than 20 years of field and office experience, Adam brings both technical expertise and leadership to his role.

He lives in Dix Hills with his wife and two children. Adam enjoys time with family and friends, especially during Jet games and holiday gatherings.

Jack Morrell
Vice President Operations

Jack Morrell is responsible for the company’s field operations, overseeing supervisors, foremen, mechanics, and apprentices. He ensures all work is performed safely, professionally, and in full compliance with local codes.

Jack holds multiple Master Electrician licenses and serves on numerous trade and industry boards. With more than 35 years of field experience, he was the company’s first official employee and remains an integral part of its growth and success.

He enjoys golf, racing, racquetball, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Vice President

James Volpe manages many of the company’s healthcare, light industrial, and commercial projects. He specializes in re-engineering and design-assist services for technically complex installations, combining a Master Electrician’s expertise with more than 25 years of field and office experience.

Jim’s technical aptitude and solutions-driven approach ensure that projects are delivered on time and to exact specifications.

He resides in Holtsville with his wife and children, and enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling to his sons’ sporting events.

Tom Carpenter
Vice President of Fire Alarm

Tom Carpenter directs the company’s fire alarm division, delivering fully integrated solutions for clients with fire alarm scope in their projects. With over 35 years of experience, Tom has built unmatched relationships with engineers, distributors, and fire marshals.

He and his team take a proactive approach to system design and installation, minimizing risks of delays, surprises, or deficiencies.

A long-time Kings Park resident, Tom enjoys golf, horse racing, and supporting his favorite sports teams with family and friends.

Vice President

Stephen Daresta oversees the company’s largest and most logistically complex projects across multiple markets. His background as an engineer for a leading architecture firm and his work with other major electrical contractors bring valuable perspective to his role.

In addition, Steve leads the company’s Prefabrication and Purchasing/Logistics departments, ensuring efficiency and precision across operations.

He resides in Massapequa with his wife and two children and is an avid boater.

Sharon Canese
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Sharon Canese manages all financial, tax, insurance, payroll, and HR functions. She and her team provide stakeholders with accurate, timely financial information, supporting company growth and stability.

Sharon joined the company with extensive experience in the public corporate sector and has served as CFO for more than 15 years.

She enjoys golf, exercise, and spending time with her family — all of whom are accountants.

Brian Rissmiller
Field Manager

Brian Rissmiller is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training all field personnel. He maintains strong relationships with employees in the field, mentors young electricians, and promotes company values through example. Brian places particular focus on building and sustaining a strong team culture, ensuring that every employee feels supported and works together toward shared success.

A former college football player, Brian began as an apprentice with the company and advanced through the roles of foreman and supervisor before taking on his current position.

He lives with his wife and three children, enjoys NY Jets football, and coaches his sons’ youth football teams.

Christopher Hernandez
Chief Estimator

Christopher Hernandez leads the estimating department, managing a team of seven estimators.

He is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of bid packages and works closely with clients during preconstruction.
Chris has been with the company for over 20 years, beginning in the field as an apprentice before advancing through estimating and project management roles.

He lives in Stony Brook with his wife and two children and values time spent with family and friends.

Service Manager

James Maxwell oversees the Service and Maintenance department, specializing in facility upgrades for mission-critical clients. He draws on extensive field experience and close collaboration with field teams to ensure reliable, efficient service.

Jim has been with the company for many years, advancing through the field before assuming leadership of the service division.

He lives in Ridge and enjoys attending his sons’ baseball games.
